HOMEOPATHY & HOLISTIC CARE

LIKE CURES LIKE

Patients often use “homeopathic” and “holistic” interchangeably. It’s important to understand the difference, and how they work together in your care.

HOMEOPATHY
precise remedy for your body
HOLISTIC CARE
optimize health and lifestyle
LIKE CURES LIKE

Homeopathy: one remedy, matched to your exact pattern.

Homeopathy works on the idea that a substance which could cause certain symptoms in a healthy person can, in a much smaller and highly diluted dose, help resolve those same symptoms in someone who’s dealing with them. That’s the logic behind “like cures like.”

Remedies are diluted so many times that substances which would be toxic in their raw form carry no toxicity at all. Belladonna, for example, is an excellent homeopathic remedy for fever — but you would never drink the juice of a belladonna plant. That dilution is also why homeopathy runs on a different framework than a conventional prescription: it works by matching a remedy to your whole pattern rather than by delivering a measured dose of an active compound. Dr. Grover will walk through exactly how this applies to your case during your visit.

Your remedy is chosen from your whole pattern: where a symptom shows up, when it’s worse, what makes it better, and what else is going on with you at the same time, not just the single complaint that brought you in. That’s why a homeopathic intake runs long.

HOLISTIC CARE

Holistic care: every natural tool, aimed at the whole person.

Holistic care is the bigger container everything else sits inside. Nutrition and food as medicine, botanical (herbal) medicine, physical medicine like Bilateral Nasal Specific and craniosacral work, lifestyle counseling, detox practices, and homeopathy itself all live here, working in the same direction.

“Holisma” comes from the word holism: the idea that treating the whole person gets you further than treating one symptom on its own. Your body is constantly giving feedback about what it needs, and holistic care is how we listen to your whole picture, including the quiet signals a shorter visit wouldn’t have time for.

In practice, that means your first visit covers your whole picture: your history, your stress, your sleep, your relationships, your labs if you have them. All of that affects how your body functions, even the parts that don’t seem medically connected at first glance.

HOW THEY FIT TOGETHER

Holistic approach toward homeopathic care.

At your first visit, we take the whole person into account: your history, your symptoms, your goals, your day-to-day life. From there, your treatment plan draws on the full holistic framework, and for most patients, a homeopathic remedy becomes a central part of that plan. Think of homeopathy as one specific, precisely matched tool, and holistic care as the process that decides when and how to reach for it, alongside everything else that supports your healing.

QUESTIONS PATIENTS ASK

Frequently asked questions.

Not the large-scale trials. Economically, those studies cost millions and are funded by companies recouping the cost through patented drugs. Homeopathic remedies can’t be patented, so there’s no incentive to fund the research. They are still classified as medicines by the FDA. What stands behind them instead is roughly 250 years of clinical use and Dr. Grover’s own results.

Herbal medicines use plant compounds. Homeopathy uses highly diluted remedies made from minerals, metals, plants, and sometimes animal sources — for example, the shell of an oyster.

Naturopathic medicine and its components carry varying levels of research and regulation depending on the modality.

Yes. Homeopathy is one option within your plan, and your care can be built without it if that’s your preference.

Homeopathic remedies are safe alongside all medications, with no known drug interactions — including antidepressants, anti-epileptics, and antibiotics — and are safe for patients from one day old and on. This still gets reviewed case by case at your intake, alongside everything else you’re taking.

A long, unhurried conversation covering your history, your current concerns, and the pattern behind them, so your plan is built around your specific case from the very start.
